Family, Internal, and Pediatric Medicine
The staff at Mercy Family Care works together
to ensure you receive the highest quality treatment available. We are
committed to providing the best possible care for your family, when
and where you need it most.
Our
Family Practice physicians specialize in caring for the physical, mental,
and emotional well-being of you and your family. They are trained to
care for you through all stages of life, from obstetric, to pediatric,
to preventive care for adults.
Our General Internists offer long-term, comprehensive
care, managing common illnesses and complex problems for adults.
Hospital Admissions
Mercy Family Care physicians admit their patients
to a hospital-based physician, known as a Hospitalist, who is an integral
part of the Mercy Family Care team. Hospitalists are specialists in
Internal Medicine. Your primary care physician will contact, or be contacted
by, a Hospitalist when you are admitted to the hospital. They will discuss
your specific condition and medical history. The Hospitalist will visit
you daily during your hospital stay, communicating with your primary
care physician as needed.
Upon discharge, the Hospitalist will update your primary care physician
on your care while in the hospital. Your primary care physician will
receive a summary of all lab work, reports, and studies that were performed.
